Small idea about the origin of HIV

I know this idea maybe confusing to many and it's not so much help to any.

But maybe some one can run with this idea and make some new use full things with it.

Basically I propose that humans have a DNA code inside of us to bring forth and create HIV viruses. This sequence is activated when a special key substance enters the cell wall.
Maybe this substance is produced by our glands that in turn is controlled by our brain.

I do not study medicine, this is just a wild idea. Based on our view as humans to see all evil as coming from outside ourselves. Maybe HIV is coming from our inside our own DNA.

I think we can find the sequence that can produce a HIV virus in our DNA to find out if this
is true or not.

Locus that are swarming change appearance before they swarm because they are crowded.
Maybe HIV is first introduced by ourselves when we are subject to something like that as well.

And them HIV spreads the usual known ways.

SO, HOW SAFE IS YOUR SEX?

You have heard "Their Truth"…Now Learn the REAL TRUTH!
(Excerpted from Channelings from Commander Hatonn of the Galactic Federation at the height of the AIDS scare.)

“Man was created to find his ultimate joy in the emotional soul fulfillment—not in a water bed with intrusions or protrusions—those things were designed for the procreation of a species.”—Hatonn, 3/28/1990

“You will find that in monogamously paired homosexual males, three-quarters of the passive partners manifest sperm-induced immune dysregulation (as a result of anti-sperm antigen contamination of the system). The immune dysfunction induced by sperm debilitates the system quite apart from infection by an AIDS virus. Although AIDS development per se may involve the transmission of the HTLV-III/LAV lentivirus (HIV virus)--except in cases of bestiality--the development of sperm-induced immune dysfunction predisposes the anal-sperm-recipient homosexual males to the more severe phenomena of opportunistic infections and Kaposi’s sarcoma. Immune responses to semen provide a background of immune suppression, not only promoting repeated CMV (cytomegalovirus) infection, but also exacerbating the resulting immunologic disorders. In other words, "HEALTHY SEMEN" CAN ALSO MAKE YOU SICK.

“Although AIDS is not what we can consider a “sexually transmitted disease” in the usual vernacular, it is most certainly transmitted by sexual misuse and/or abuse in a compromised recipient. HTLV-III is most certainly a sexually transmitted disease through the rectal mucosa, and is usually vulnerable to the passage of the AIDS agent as well in a compromised vaginal passage. From a purely biological perspective, sodomy—even apart from the transmission of AIDS—is an intrinsically unsanitary and pathological act. In addition, the practice of sodomy has been a primary reason why AIDS has been so readily transmitted and fostered among homosexuals.

ORAL COPULATION AND AIDS

“Additionally—in terms of oral-penile copulation—infected semen received into the mouth provides a source of infection through abrasions or lesions on the gums, tongue, and/or roof of the mouth.

“Venereal diseases affecting the mouth and throat are especially problematic among homosexuals. Often going unrecognized for a period of time, the resulting lesions provide ports of entry and exit for the AIDS virus; AIDS-infected saliva also is a potential danger involved in oral copulation.

“Research has yet to determine conclusively whether or not the gastric juices in the stomach prevent absorption of the AIDS virus into the bloodstream after being ingested. Since the eating of AIDS-infected meat is a possible factor in the spread of AIDS among humans (oops! No one told you about that one? I thought not!), consumption of infected semen may also play a role in transmission. ”—Hatonn 3/28/1990

SADOMASOCHISTIC ACTIVITIES AND THE SPREAD OF AIDS:

“The damaging practice of sodomy itself can be classified as a sadomasochistic act. The bloodletting and exchange of contaminated secretions involved in other traumatic homosexual acts further facilitate the spread of AIDS and other diseases. If you don’t confront the facts you will not eradicate the problem.

MANUAL/ANAL INTERCOURSE--FISTING

“Fisting causes bleeding lacerations of the intestines and tearing of the sphincter muscle as you might suspect. These internal wounds provide enormous opportunity for the entrance and spread of AIDS virus and other infections.

“Mechanical devices, dildos, vibrators, etc, inserted into the rectum and lower colon during fisting can puncture the intestinal wall, causing dangerous seepage of fecal matter into the abdomen. If surgery is not performed promptly enough, this can result in death, and you no longer have to concern yourself with AIDS.

“There is Hope and Healing, but it requires instantly stopping the behavior which has contracted the problem in the first place. It is not the homosexual lifestyle that is the culprit—it is the homosexual behavior. No two males (or females) have ever spread AIDS by sharing an apartment or a cook-stove.”

If you or someone you know has or may suspect having been exposed to the HIV virus, get informed…Get Tested. Then do your homework. It could save your life or theirs. I am here to tell you that Total Healing has happened in cases of absolute turn-around of practices and coming into oneness with the Great Healer on a most intellectual (human) and moral (soul) level. But it is up to man to decide between his own limits or Infinite Acceptance. Grace will always intervene on Man's behalf. It is the Glorious Solution to the Greatest Mystery of Life--that of uniting Spirit with Matter. Accept Grace, and you bring Heaven to Earth.

"An Apple A Day..." - Cider Vinegar Health Benefits

Many people are now convinced—Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), that wonderful “old-timers” home remedy, cures more ailments than any other folk remedy and has been highly regarded throughout history. In 400 B.C. the great Hippocrates, Father of Medicine, used it for its amazing health qualities.

The reported cures from drinking Apple Cider Vinegar are numerous and include: allergies (including pet, food and environmental), sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, flu, chronic fatigue, Candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, gout, and even heart pain. Apple Cider Vinegar breaks down fat and is widely used to lose weight. It has also been reported that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water has soaring blood pressure under control in two weeks!

For centuries, the benefits from cider vinegar to fight infection, promote digestion, fighting osteoporosis, have been well known. One of the first goals on the way to great health is to restore the body's pH to the alkaline range. As nearly all chronic illnesses take place in a body that has become acidic due to the gradual depletion of its mineral reserves, it is logical to check on the body's acid/alkaline balance and to work towards maintaining it in the alkaline range. The state of the body's acid/alkaline balance can be easily measured by testing the urine using pH strips.

INTERNAL BENEFITS:
.	Rich in enzymes & potassium
.	Naturally supports a healthy immune system
.	Helps control weight
.	Helps soothe dry throat
.	Promotes healthy digestion & pH balance
.	Helps remove body sludge & toxins

ACV is also a natural antibiotic germ fighter, fights E. coli and other bacteria. It is an excellent remedy for food poisoning and helpful in digestive upsets. ACV helps control and normalize weight and improve digestion. ACV helps relieve arthritis stiffness and rheumatism.

Use two teaspoons (2 t.) in a pint of water daily for yourself—or one teaspoon in the dog or cat’s drinking water—as a healthy tonic. Drink a daily tonic of apple cider vinegar to help you keep the right pH balance in the urinary tract, since the proper acidity creates an inhospitable environment for bacteria and yeasts that cause these infections.

EXTERNAL BENEFITS:
.	Helps maintain healthy skin
.	Helps promote a youthful, healthy body
.	Soothes irritated skin
.	Relieves muscle pain from exercise

ACV helps to maintain healthy skin, promote youthful, healthy bodies. Soothes pain of sunburn, the itch from bug bites, and the sting from plants. ACV helps prevent dandruff, itching scalp, baldness, and dry skin. ACV soothes tight aching joints, sore muscles. Apple cider vinegar also removes sebum and environmental and product buildup on the hair shaft.

COMBINE WITH NATURAL BEE HONEY TO:
.	Relax the nervous system
.	Promote deep sleep
.	Relieve rheumatism
.	Relieve arthritis
.	Relieve bone and muscle pain and soreness
.	Relieve heart ailments
.	Relieve stress
.	Relieve insomnia

Mix organic apple cider with pure raw honey and drink at night before going to bed. Great for calming nerves, promoting relaxation and relief of bone related ailments. Adjust the amount of vinegar and honey for comfort and taste. See my recommended recipe here:

RECIPE:
250 mL (8 oz) Purified Water (warm enough to melt honey)
1 to 2 teaspoons Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (Organic recommended)
1 to 2 teaspoons Honey (Local, raw, non-GMO recommended)

(Honey comes from flowers and has a very light energy. I recommend honey from flowers that are known to provide support for heart and lungs. Use local honey to help provide relief from allergies and build immunity.)

Apple Cider Vinegar is proving very beneficial to people and animals with arthritis because it breaks down calcium deposits in the joints while re-mineralizing the bones. It has shown to be equally beneficial to dogs with hip dysplasia. ACV is also effective for urinary tract infections, and it lowers high blood pressure. In animals, it is helpful in skin and coat problems and in replacing potassium depletion. (Cranberry juice is also a well-known home remedy for urinary tract infections. It prevents bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary tract.)

A new University of California-Davis Medical Center study shows that daily consumption of 12 ounces of apple cider or apple juice can reduce the risk of heart disease. And the benefits don’t stop there. A recent Cornell University study found that the antioxidants in apples also inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer cells.

ACV has been found to protect arteries from harmful buildup of plaque. Many heart attacks are caused by high amounts of fats and cholesterol in your blood. The fiber in ACV helps to absorb fats and cholesterol by expelling them from the body as waste materials.

ACV is used to promote the health of veins and capillaries; it is also useful in assisting in the health of the heart. The potassium found in apple cider vinegar is also beneficial to the heart.

The dietary fiber in ACV is beneficial in controlling glucose levels in the blood. Minerals like manganese, calcium, magnesium, silicon and iron develop bone mass and make them stronger. It is also a rich source of amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

ACV boosts the immune system and acts as a natural antiseptic and anti-biotic. Apples contain Vitamin C and flavonoids, which helps with wound healing and in reducing the severity of colds and flu symptoms. Apple cider also has acetic acid, plus ion-futynic lactic and propionic acids. It is the richest source of amino acids known.

Apple cider cannot cure cancer, but it is valuable to have around to help fight free radicals in the body. Beta-carotene, found in apple cider vinegar, is a powerful antioxidant, which helps to neutralize the free radicals formed in the body through oxidation. To prevent these free radicals, and to keep them in check, we need antioxidants to rid our body of these potentially dangerous compounds. Left alone, free radicals have the run of our bodies; they damage cells, which leads to cellular degeneration. The pectin in apple cider vinegar adds fiber to the diet, which helps prevent cancer, especially colon cancer. Fiber binds with certain cancer-causing compounds in the colon, and speeds up their elimination from the system.

VITAMINS IN APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:
.	Vitamin C
.	Vitamin E
.	Vitamin A
.	Vitamin B1
.	Vitamin B2
.	Vitamin B6
.	Pro-vitamin beta-carotene
.	Vitamin P

MINERALS & TRACE ELEMENTS IN APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:
.	Potassium
.	Calcium
.	Magnesium
.	Phosphorous
.	Chlorine
.	Sodium
.	Sulfur (the mineral - not the sulfa, which some people are allergic to)
.	Copper
.	Iron
.	Silicon
.	Fluorine

BENEFITS FOR YOUR DOGS (AND OTHER PETS):
Every home with dogs should have Apple Cider Vinegar. It has multiple uses for dogs, including: alleviating allergies and arthritis, and establishing correct pH balance of the system.

Added to your pet's drinking water, ACV has shown to maintain the acid/alkaline balance of the digestive tract. To find your dog's pH level, get some pH strips at your local drugstore. First thing in the morning test your dog's urine. If the strip reads from 6.5 - 7.0, then your dog's system is what it should be. If the pH is higher, then the system is too alkaline, and ACV can help to establish a correct pH balance.

Use a few drops in your dog's ears after cleaning to avoid ear infections. ACV can be used in the prevention of muscle weakness, arthritis, calluses on elbows, hocks and joints, pimples, and sore joints. It has also been shown to be useful in the prevention of bladder and kidney stones, and bladder and kidney infections.

A dog with a correct pH balance is less likely to be bothered by fleas, black flies, ticks, and other external parasites. Its regular use results in less chance of ringworm, staph infections, streptococcus, and mange. If you are already experiencing these problems, dilute ACV with equal amounts of warm water and sponge onto your dog's coat.

You can also mix a 50/50 vinegar-water solution and add to a spray bottle to spray the coat. The ACV balances the pH of the skin and makes it less desirable to bacteria, bugs and infection. Not only that, but their coat is very soft and shiny. Applying undiluted apple cider vinegar to the affected area can soothe bee and wasp stings, as well as itchy mosquito bites.

MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION:
I have personally used and highly recommend Bragg® Certified Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. It is unfiltered, unheated, unpasteurized, has 5% acidity, and contains the amazing Mother of Vinegar, which occurs naturally as strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules.

Bragg® Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is made from delicious, healthy, organically grown apples. Processed and bottled in accordance with USDA guidelines, it is Certified Organic by Organic Certifiers and Oregon Tilth; and is Kosher Certified.

Bragg® Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is full of zesty natural goodness. It is a wholesome way to add delicious flavor to salads, veggies, most foods, and even to sprinkle over popcorn.

Bragg® Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar has a pH of 4.075, Concentration/ Strength = 63 grain, Acetic Acid = 5.14 %, Potassium = 24mg/T. <2% DRV / RDI.

Many blessings,

What is the current state of research on STDs? I know there are various vaccine trials going on on various diseases (HIV in particular), but the last I heard they were not getting promising results. In what timeframe do you think vaccines will be found for the major STDs?

What do you think are the top STD research candidates? HIV seems to be getting most of the press and most of the dollars these days, but what about other diseases like HPV and HSV? Should more time and money be spent on these or other diseases? While HIV is perhaps more life-threatening in the long run, do other diseases that are more contagious and more common cause more of an impact on society in general?

> and discussed the issues with them instead of
> cutting & pasting all those lengthy articles all
> the time?

Dear "H"
Well, since you put it that way...
I stop to think all the time, my Brother, but unfortunately, I am not a "Bum" (as you profess to be), and I don't have time to chat all that much, especially since oftentimes "public/mainstream" discussions end up wasting a lot of time and causing an awful lot of emotional discharge on the part of those who are not very informed about alternative practices and research. I prefer to save my energy for those who are seriously interested in doing what it takes to get healthy, and they are usually those who come to me in private, outside the chat rooms. So I guess you are simply assuming you know how much response I actually get. Those who are here for "their virginity", for example, or for similar reasons have other things than healing on their minds.

Besides, I prefer to put the information out there and let others do their own homework. I have been holding people's hands a long time now in my own life. I am tired of babysitting; it is time for me to reach folks on a Mass Scale who are genuinely open to and interested in what will save their lives. This open-forum/head-to-head approach is oftentimes a way to mask people's real intentions of hooking up or getting laid, and has run its course for me. Now crucial time is running out. You are either open to my message, or you are not, in which case we both would be better off moving along in our separate ways.

There are just too many intellectual and emotional Vampires out there who prefer that others do their work for them, or who choose to hit the bottle or other recreational drugs and then complain that their healing is not getting them anywhere. This, unfortunately, is my experience as a healer, and as a Spiritual Counselor and Teacher. We all have a different path to follow. We have all made our own sacred contracts for our time on this Earth. Mine is not yours, any more than yours is mine. So whatever your judgments of me, or whatever you think about my methods, I respect, but that road ends there. Believe me, I will reach the ones whom I am supposed to reach in my own way. It is my Higher Purpose and Mission in this life, and nothing you say or do will alter its course. The Others have their own destiny, as I have mine. It is more importantly a matter of mutual respect, love and acceptance. Isn't that what the Gay Community has been hemming and hawing for since the 60's? It is time we learn to walk the talk, my friend, and put the petty criticisms and personal attacks aside. For what in your message to me today would give any indication that you wanted any more than to whine about some useless and trivial tidbit. If you had something meaningful to say, you sure missed the perfect opportunity to express it. My point is that this kind of "talk" is getting us nowhere--as a Group or as individuals. The time for action is now.

When I have the time to engage in fruitful or productive discussions--or if and when I find the need to rant about who did who and who heard what--then and only then I will engage. For now, I have a lot on my plate and I will leave that kind of stuff to the Others. Truth is, we have been discussing HIV and AIDS for twenty-some years now, but (despite having been published through the mainstream booksellers since 1993) the simple and most profound Truths I have tried to share with you and these Tribes did not come from the CDC, the Government, the Doctors (no matter how "Alternative"), the Pharmaceutical Companies, or even from our own Community Leaders. In fact, their lies and treatment methods of killing us in order to cure us are so old and outdated, even they have forgotten how to believe in them.

I will leave the others to contemplate a cure by allopathic means. In the meantime, I am living proof that THERE IS A VERY SIMPLE CURE TO HIV, AIDS, CANCER AND THE WHOLE LOT. It just takes a commitment to changing your lifestyle and your priorities to achieve it. Who among you is ready to accept a cure and all that it implies? Let him come to me with his queries. We can all start by taking responsibility for our life and everything in it--the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Nothing happens TO US. We choose by our actions and our every thought everything that comes into our lives. I don't need to talk that Horse to Death. It has been dead and resurrected for a good long while. Even New Physics has all but proven that Missing Link. The New Reality is knocking on the door. Maybe it takes people like you, "H", to help others open it and usher it in. The Future is Here Right Now. WE ARE THE LEADERS WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

In the meantime, I will continue doing what I do best--Waking the Others to their Spiritual Power and Personal Authority, and Guiding them away from the Chains of Earthly Duality and Materialism. You just continue to do what it is that you do best, whatever that may be. I hope you don't mind if I share this discussion with others of the Tribes. They may just get something useful out of what I am saying. And consider this: if I were giving this information in order to "get" something from it, I would be missing the point of PURE CHARITY, now wouldn't I? That is simply not in my nature; nor is it my intention.
Truth Reigns...And So It Is!
xoxoxox
Craig

P.S. Point of fact: "All the time", you say? I have only posted to this site three times at the most, and so I would suggest you get the facts right on this also. Peace to you, Brother.

Then, “H” replied with:
Henry wrote:

“you seem to think rather highly of yourself.”

To which my response was,
“No, “H”, I just think WELL of myself. Maybe you should try it.”

BANISH BENZENE – THE CURE FOR HIV AND AIDS

The Promise

Step into a new world. A world without chronic diseases. Step out of your old world. It has kept you a prisoner. Try something new.
The prison has no walls. It has only lines. Lines that mark the ground around you. Inside the lines are your old ideas. Outside are new ideas that invite you to step over and escape your prison. Dare to try these new ideas and your illness promises to recede. In a few weeks it can be gone. (From the book "The Cure for all Diseases" ©1995 Dr. Hulda Clark)

The Basis of the Discoveries

I have indicated throughout this book the existence of pollutants in food and other products. These pollutants were identified using a testing device of my invention known as the Syncrometer™. Complete instructions for building and using this device are contained in this book. Therefore, anyone can repeat the tests described and verify the data.

The Syncrometer™ is more accurate and versatile than the best existing testing methods. A method for determining the degree of precision is also presented. However, at this point it only yields positive or negative results, it does not quantify. The chance of a false positive or a false negative is about 5%, which can be lessened by test repetition.

It is in the public interest to know when a single bottle of a single product tests positive to a serious pollutant. If one does, the safest course is to avoid all bottles of that product entirely, which is what I repeatedly advise. These recommendations should be interpreted as intent to warn and protect the public, not to provide a statistically significant analysis. It is my fervent hope that manufacturers use the new electronic techniques in this book to make purer products than they ever have before. (From the book "The Cure for all Diseases" ©1995 Dr. Hulda Clark)

53 CURED* Cases the First Year

Cure, not treatment, is the subject of this book. In 1991 I discovered the source of HIV. Once the source became clear the cure became obvious. But would it work? After curing 53 cases in a row, all who used this method, I could wait no longer to present these findings. Since that time many more have been cured, too many to be added to this book [*]. Most important is adding you to that list! (From the book "The Cure for HIV and AIDS" ©1993 Dr. Hulda Clark)
* In the most recent edition of the book, five cases verified by PCR lab testing for HIV have been added.

HIV is a virus.
AIDS is a condition.
Sometimes they occur together.
Sometimes they occur separately.

HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

The human intestinal fluke (Fasciolopsis buskii) is the source of the HIV virus. This parasite typically lives in the intestine where it might do little harm, causing only colitis, Crohn's disease, or irritable bowel syndrome, or perhaps nothing at all. But if it invades a different organ, like the uterus or the kidneys or liver, it does a great deal of harm. If it establishes itself in the thymus, it causes HIV/AIDS!

It only establishes itself in the thymus in some people. These people have benzene in their bodies. All HIV patients (100%) have both benzene and a stage of the intestinal fluke in their thymuses. The solvent benzene is responsible for letting the fluke establish itself in the thymus. In order to get HIV, you must have both the parasite and benzene in your body. The HIV virus belongs to this fluke. It is not difficult to kill this parasite and all its stages.

AIDS is a condition. When the thymus gland cannot "make" enough T-cells, your immunity is lowered. Benzene is the cause of AIDS. Different toxins accumulate in different organs. If you eat or rub in the tiniest bit of benzene it goes directly to the thymus. It damages the thymus so much that everything else is allowed to land there, too: The mercury from metal tooth fillings, the copper from your copper water pipes etc. Is it any wonder that the thymus can't turn out T-cells when it is full of bits of your toothpaste, your hand lotion, your hair spray, toxic food and beverages? (From the book "The Cure for HIV/AIDS" ©1993 Dr. Hulda Clark)

Abstract/Summary

The human species is now heavily infested with parasites, particularly the intestinal fluke, Fasciolopsis buskii, the sheep liver fluke, Fasciola hepatica, the pancreatic fluke of cattle, Eurytrema pancreatica, the human liver fluke, Clonorchis sinensis, and the common roundworm, Ascaris. The increase in fluke parasitism is due to the establishment of a new "biological reservoir" in cattle, fowl and household pets. The increase in Ascaris parasitism is probably due to harboring of household pets.

At the same time, micro-contamination of the human food supply with derivatives of the petroleum industry has occurred; these include solvents, antiseptics and numerous products used directly in the food industry. In the presence of benzene, Fasciolopsis buskii, can complete its entire life cycle in the human body, not requiring a snail as an intermediate host, as it usually does. Other solvents contributing to parasitism include isopropyl alcohol, methanol, xylene, and toluene, which now occur as residues in our foods and pollute our body products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, lotions and cosmetics. These solvents are also contaminants of animal feed, and thus are responsible for establishing the new biological reservoir or source of infection of flukes.

Different solvents accumulate preferentially in different organs, a phenomenon known as organotropism. Benzene accumulates in the thymus, resulting in damage to the thymus and completion of the life cycle of Fasciolopsis in the thymus. A stage in the life cycle of Fasciolopsis brings with it the HIV virus. This stage is normally found in snails, and indeed, I have found many snails infected with HIV. In the human, its preferred tissues of colonization are the thymus and penis in the male and the thymus and vagina in the female. The HIV virus has not yet become a human virus, since it disappears within 24 hours after the last fluke stage has been destroyed. However, it could become a true human virus through mutation, no doubt. For this reason it is of paramount importance to end this new kind of parasitism in humans quickly.

Removal of all solvents from the patient's lifestyle and destruction of all fluke stages as well as elimination of undercooked beef, turkey, chicken and dairy products in the diet results in quick recovery, generally less than one week, from HIV infection. HIV/AIDS could be eradicated in a very short time by clearing our food animals and household pets of fluke parasites and by monitoring all food and feed for solvents.

The cause of benzene accumulation in some persons and not in others appears to be due to a lack of a vitamin, riboflavin (vitamin B2), eating more of a common food toxin, 4,5 benzopyrene, and more of a mycotoxin, zearalenone. 4,5 benzopyrene is present in grilled, broiled (flame heated) foods, even ordinary toast, while zearalenone is plentiful in chips, popcorn and brown rice. The role of vitamin B2 is to speed up benzene detoxification to phenol.

Since developmental stages of the intestinal fluke are found in blood, breast milk, saliva, semen, and urine and can be seen directly in these body fluids using a low power microscope, it follows that this parasite can be transmitted not only through sexual contact and blood, but by kissing on the mouth and breast feeding, and childbearing. However, the recipient would develop HIV/AIDS only if benzene were accumulated in his or her body.

The methods used to obtain all these results are discussed in “How To Test Yourself”. A simple circuit is also described which can be built by a novice and allows anyone to reproduce my results.

I rarely post to any of the tribes I belong to...but I decided to 'hit them up' in my time of need.
I am a single woman, 33, no pets,non-smoker,fully employed @ UCSF as a social worker .Currently I am in a roomate situation that I've lived in for 3yrs.The Owners are now selling this building. I am clean, resourceful, friendly, easy going, and relatively quiet. The goal is to rent in an area close to public transportation. My credit isn't immaculate(school loans and an eviction in 93, unfortunatley) but I can provide personal and work references as well as proof of income.

If you know of anyone looking for a roomate,a sublet filler or own property with studios/one bedrooms, please send me an message.

Have a Fab day and enjoy your weekend!

The Chronicle's Science Editor, Sabin Russell, has put together a series commemorating the first 25 years of the HIV epidemic.
The series started yesterday, Sunday the 4th of June, and continues this week.
It will include snapshots of SF history, SF people living with HIV today, and open up a global perspective on the epidemic. The following link is to one of the first articles, but sfgate.com will let you search by date or topic.

I was able to get mine, and let me say: Get it if you can. Even if you can't, work out some kind of payment plan with your doctor or clinic or whomever. It's the only STD that you can vaccinated against (currently), and it's worth your while.

If you don't know the process, it takes three seperate doses over a period of several months: the first one on the first visit; the second, one month later; the third, three months after that. The thing of it is, the time factor is vital, and if you miss it/miss an appointment/loose the narrow window between shots, you have to start over from scratch, and that also means paying the money all over again.

Gardasil and HPV

Gardasil prevents cervical cancer caused by virus

Last Updated: 2005-12-19 14:33:03 -0400 (Reuters Health)

By Deborah Mitchell

WASHINGTON (Reuters Health) - In late-stage testing, Gardasil, a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, was 100 percent effective at preventing infection with four HPV types known to be associated with cervical cancer.

HPV causes cervical cancer. There are over 500,000 cases of cervical cancer diagnosed worldwide, and of those 300,000 women die annually. The lifetime risk around the world of a woman developing cervical cancer is about 70 percent.

Gardasil "offers implications for affecting women's health care tremendously by preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases," said Dr. Diane M. Harper from Dartmouth Medical School in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Based on these data, Merck submitted Gardasil to the US Food and Drug Association for approval on December 1st.

"In addition to cervical cancer, HPV causes vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer and anal cancers, which are on the increase," Harper noted, adding that therapy is "pretty effective, but not 100 percent, and there are recurrences."

HPV 16 and 18 are responsible for about 70 percent of all anal/genital cancers in women. About 25 percent of low-grade lesions and most genital warts are caused by HPV types 6 and 11.

At the 45th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy underway in Washington, D.C., Harper presented the results of the vaccine's efficacy against types 6, 11, 16 and 18, which are implicated in the whole spectrum of HPV diseases in women.

In the trial, 5,000 women, ages 16 to 24 at over 62 sites from 16 nations, received three vaccines throughout the year. The women who were free of HPV at entry underwent complete genital examinations, six Pap smears and had blood drawn at five different times.

Of the 93 percent of women who received all three vaccinations, "there were no cases in the vaccine group of women developing any 6,- 11,- 16-, 18-related cervical lesions, whereas there were 37 in the placebo group. This gives us a 100 percent efficacy," Harper said.

"For vulvar/vaginal lesions, there were 40 cases in the placebo group, and in the vaccine group -- zero," she continued, "again giving us 100 percent efficacy."

When all of the women in the study were included in the analysis -- including those who were not compliant to the protocol or did not receive the full vaccine course, reflecting "real life utilization," the efficacy rate was 97 percent.

The worst side effect was redness and swelling at the injection site, affecting 88 percent in the Gardasil group and 80 percent in the placebo group, a statistically significant difference.

"This vaccine is safe, it's tolerable and it's 100 percent effective, when given in the three doses in the protocol," Harper concluded.

Report suggests those who pledge abstinence try other sex

The report by Yale and Columbia University researchers could help explain their earlier findings that teens who pledged abstinence are just as likely to have STDs as their peers.

hi.
i'm wesley.
i just joined to ask this question.
i was looking on craigs list for jobs in the et cetera catagory and there was a heading for study participants.
the heading read"one out of evey four women have genital herpes."

this is the lead sentence.
"Symptoms of genital herpes are often subtle. In fact, 90% of those infected are unaware. "

i have had almost no sexual contact with a partner for seven years and i begin to think that is a good thing.

AIDS and STD Funding in dangerous times...

Hi all...

I'm a education volunteer at AIDS Project RI. I learned today, in a discussion after doing an education session, that the project is very worried about losing a lot of funding. Why? Mostly because Bush is in office, and his regime, who holds the funds that most of these non-profits get for their work, has basically, and quietly, demanded that only abstinence be taught or lose your funding. I pray that it doesn't get cut, but because AIDS Project is firm about teaching all methods of STD prevention, they run a great risk of not getting the money they need this coming year. I know I will support them with as much as I can this year, and with my time, but I urge everyone to get the word out to your communities to help these organizations survive. This is going to be a difficult 4 years for AIDS, let's start fighting now!

Thanks
YankeeDyke

STDs and Sociology?

Recently I read an article about someone who was studying the interactions between truckers in the US and the people they interact with, particularly in a sexual context. The goal is to track their interactions to get a better idea of the ability for STDs to be spread through these 'networks' especially in light of the fact that truckers travel over broad geographical regions and therefore are a potential route for rapid spread of an emerging STD or new outbreak.

I was wondering if anyone has done any research like this in other communities -- particularly communities that engage in non-monogamous practices: the swinger community, polyamory community, etc. Has there been any study of STDs in these communities and how various practices and mores (i.e. condom use, oral-only between non-partners, self- or other- monitoring of STD status and how being positive with something affects the decision to engage in these activities) affect the incidence and spread of diseases in these communities?

Is HIV "superinfection" a real concern for the positive community?

Is HIV re-infection real?

Can drug-resistant HIV be transmitted to someone already HIV positive?

With your help the Positive Partners Study will find out!
Robert M. Grant, MD, MPH – Principal Investigator
Jeff McConnell, MA – Project Director

The Positive Partners Study will examine the possibility that someone already living with HIV could be infected with another strain of HIV. This is called superinfection or re-infection. Positive Partners hopes to find out whether superinfection really happens and, if so, whether it makes a difference in people’s struggle with HIV. The results will help people living with HIV to make more informed decisions about their treatment and sexual behavior. Positive Partners is looking for couples living with HIV. Both partners must be: HIV Positive, taking HIV medications (antiretroviral drugs) or on STI, at least 18 years old, and Involved in a sexual relationship with each other. Positive Partners who enroll in this study will: Participate in two confidential one-on-one interviews over the next year, provide blood and (males only) semen samples, and earn $25 each per visit; get free, state-of-the-art testing to monitor drug-resistance twice during the year (genotyping), T-cell count, viral load, and CBC (complete blood count). Positive Partners is a collaborative study conducted by the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology and the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) at the University of California, San Francisco.

If you would like to participate or get more information call Positive Partners at (415) 476-9296 ext. 361 or e-mail jmcconnell@psg.ucsf.edu.
